Section 1. Trouble-shooting

1. Q: THE GAME WON'T SHOW UP. WHAT DO I DO?
   • A: There are many things that could prevent a game from working. ....(browsers, OS, computer, firewalls...)
     
     
2. Q: THE GAME WON'T TAKE MY SCORE. WHY?
   
   
3. Q: THE GAME WON'T POP UP THE SCORES WHEN I SUBMIT A SCORE. HOW DO I FIX THIS?
   • It is possible that you have your Javascript permissions turned off. Follow these instructions:
   • For NETSCAPE:
   • Go to EDIT, and then select PREFERENCES
   • Click ADVANCED, and then check on Enable Javascript.
   • For INTERNET EXPLORER:
   • Look under your Internet Explorer's TOOLS menu, and then select INTERNET OPTIONS.
   • Click the SECURITY tab - Do you have it set to HIGH or other default setting?
   • Click the button "CUSTOM LEVEL" at the bottom.
   • Scroll down to the section called "JAVA PERMISSIONS": If it is set to "Disabled", change it to "High Safety". Otherwise leave as is.
   • Scroll down to "SCRIPTING": There should be three sections there. Is any of these set to "Disabled"? (It would be my guess this is what's stopping your score recording). Set all three of these to ENABLE.
   • Hit OK, and OK again.
   • Close the browser and then start it up again. Try Cubes and get ANY score, and submit your score. If the above corrected the problem, you will get a pop-up with a yellow background and the top 200 scores, right after you clicked "SUBMIT".
     
     
4. Q: I SUBMITTED A HIGH-SCORE, IT APPEARED IN THE LIST, BUT NOW IT'S GONE.
• Our scoring system sometimes gets overloaded with the number of simultaneous players, and will "drop" a score (quite at random in fact). This is out of our control for the moment, and we do apologize.
